At Chattanooga State the strength and conditioning department strives to prepare the student-athlete for their competitive seasons and for life outside of athletics. We employ a variety of training techniques with an emphasis on sports specific functional training. We work to develop all areas of athletic performance including power, speed, strength, agility, quickness and conditioning. We also work to eliminate mental errors through stressing discipline and staying mentally sharp when physically fatigued. Our goal is to make training sessions so intense and competitive that intercollegiate games are not a challenge.
